From a classic to the future of mobility – AKG supports the E-Beetle project at the University of Kassel
As part of the new degree program “Sustainable Electromobility” (Faculty 15, Prof. Friebe), a special project is taking shape at the University of Kassel: A Volkswagen Beetle is being fully converted to electric drive – with a targeted range of around 150 km. Completion is planned for this summer.
Our Sales and Project Engineer Alec Chaffardet visited the site to gain first-hand insights into the project’s progress. Together with the administrative and technical staff members Roland Gaber and Bernhard Siano, he received exciting insights into the development and implementation process.
AKG is supporting the project with a water radiator from our AKG-Line-T standard series. In doing so, we are contributing to the practical education of future specialists – while also demonstrating how flexibly our standard solutions can be applied in the field of e-mobility.
We are proud to support young engineers in developing sustainable mobility solutions and to actively promote innovative university projects.
